Tai chi

What is Tai chi?

Throughout the world, Tai chi is now probably the best known, and certainly the most effective martial art of Chinese origi,n which also helps to keep us healthy. It is a martial application of the control of the body’s inner energies, in the perfect knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Tai chi is a system of movements, the essence of which is the circulation of inner energy. It improves body coordination, while it strives for a harmonious relationship between body and mind. By mobilising energies and creating balance, it plays an important role in the maintenance of health and the prevention of disease. As a result of practice, general physical stamina improves, resistance against illnesses increases, one can live longer, and the actual capacity for self defence also increases. The knowledge and application of the system is especially recommended for people whose jobs are mentally demanding, but it is also a useful means of bearing and dealing with everyday burdens.
