Professor Dr. Imre Hamar Honored Among ELTE Award Recipients
At the opening ceremony of the academic year on September 5, 2025, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) presented its annual distinctions. Conferred by the University Senate, these awards recognize members of the academic community whose work on behalf of ELTE reflects exceptional professional achievement and dedication.
Professor Dr. Imre Hamar, outgoing Vice-Rector for International Affairs of ELTE and Director of the ELTE Confucius Institute, was awarded the Pro Universitate Medal of Merit, Gold Grade, by Rector Dr. Lénárd Darázs. Through this distinction, the Senate acknowledged Professor Hamar’s decades-long, exemplary contributions to the university across several terms, encompassing his outstanding achievements in teaching, research, and academic leadership.
